The Environmental Information Centre took the initiative to collect and submit on its Internet portal the main provisions of law relating to the environment that have direct or indirect impact on business activities, in particular, to generate certain obligations on the side of entrepreneurs.
The ”Guide for entrepreneurs” contains a catalogue of key environmental issues that need specific actions to be taken by entrepreneurs to perform formal and legal duties, including but not limited to:
- preparation and conduct of investment processes;
- introduction into the environment of substances or energy, as well as use of environmental resources, resulting in the need to pay fees and obtain appropriate approvals and permits;
- implementation of obligations in the scope of:
- informing and including the public in the decision-making process;
- recording wastes and environmentally safe waste management;
- liability for environmental damage, preventing the occurrence of industrial accidents and dealing with hazardous substances.
The Guide contains over 150 themed (substantive) cards and several hundred entries that contain essential information relating to the above-mentioned issues.
The information presented is broken down into environmental groups: manufacturers, service providers, farmers and others.
